

Krystal E. Balvantin, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on September 24, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She will be remembered for her kind heart, strong family bonds, and the many people whose lives she touched.
Krystal was born on September 24, 1985, in Albany, Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Criminal Justice, an accomplishment she was proud of. She was also a proud member of the Cooper All Sports Booster Club and True Blue.
Krystal enjoyed casino trips, watching reality television and hot tea, and spending time with family and friends. She especially loved supporting her family and friends at their events and cheering on the kids at Cooper. Her presence at those events reflected how deeply she cared for the people around her.
Krystal is survived by her beloved daughter, Khloe Balvantin; her sons, Matt Balvantin and Alex “Rue” Moreno; all of Abilene, Texas and many cousins whom she considered brothers and sisters. She leaves behind a large circle of family and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Cirilda “Lily” Balvantin, and her brother, Chris Mendoza.
Krystal’s memory will live on through her children, family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Her kind-hearted generosity, laughter, strength, and devotion to the people she loved will never be forgotten.
A Visitation will be held at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Highway 277 South, Abilene, Texas 79606, on September 28, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The Rosary will follow at the same location on September 28, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and a Time of Remembrance will be held there the same evening from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5410 Buffalo Gap Rd, Abilene, Texas 79606, on September 29, 2026, at 11:00 am. A committal service will follow at Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery, 5701 Highway 277 South, Abilene, Texas 79606.
