Leonard Randy Lovell

Randy Lovell, 58, passed away Monday, February 13, 2012, at a local medical center. Funeral services will be 10:00a.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Community Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd, Abilene with David Cason officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 14, 2012 from 7 to 8p.m. at the funeral home.

Randy was born on August 28, 1953 to T.L. Lovell and Mary Ellen McCleskey in Abilene, TX. He attended schools in Abilene and was baptized in 1964 at Elmwood Baptist Church. Randy married Tauhlee Rains on February 14, 2008 in Midland, TX.

Randy was a musician and loved music. It was his life. He was considered one of the best drummers in the area. He played for many famous folks, including Janie Fricke, Johnny Duncan, and Curtis Potter. Randy also loved to golf.

Survivors include his wife, Tauhlee Rains Lovell of Abilene; one son, Jeremiah Lovell of Midland; four daughters, Morgan Williams and husband, Al, Brianna Grant, Nicolette Lovell and Myriah Lovell all of Jacksonville, FL; three brothers, Lynn Lovell and wife, Oleta of Ft. Worth, Dwain Lovell and wife, Carolyn of Abilene, and Earl Lovell and wife, Pam of Manchaca, TX; two sisters, Vicki Williams and husband, Rodney of Ovalo, TX and Susie Butz and husband, Mark of Abilene; and numerous nieces and nephews.
