Linda Joyce Brooks, age 83, of Abilene, TX, passed away on June 2, 2026. She was born on October 28, 1942 to parents, Wayman and Faye Hill and is remembered for her kind nature and the care she showed to her patients as a nurse.
Survivors include her son Gary (Marlaina) Brooks, grandsons, Evan and Andrew (Julianna) Brooks and a great-granddaughter, Delaney; as well as her daughter Linda (Mark) Summers, granddaughters, Lara (Joel) Clarke and Bethany (Rudy) Hernandez and great grandchildren, Titus, Micah, Asher, and Naomi.
A Funeral Service will be held at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Highway 277 South, Abilene, TX 79606, US, on June 13, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by a Committal Service at Elmwood Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 5750 US-277, Abilene, TX 79606, US, on June 13, 2026, at 11:00 am.
Pallbearers will be Evan Brooks, Drew Brooks, Joel Clarke, and Rudy Hernandez.
