Faye was born April 14, 1938 in Brownfield, Texas to Willis Andrew Wimberley and Lillie Mae (Byrom) Wimberley.
She is survived by her husband of 11 years Cecil Ray Hollingsworth, sister, Lola Pearl Graham of Pinehurst, Texas; daughters Edra Kay Johnson, Tonya Rae Crenshaw, Freda Vonell Ragan and her husband, Glen, Pamela Ann Marler and her husband, Scott all of Abilene; stepdaughters Tammy Leanne Hester, Robbin Lynn Hollingsworth, Kimberley Kay Kerby, Becky Ann Shelley, Rhonda Sue Sage and Shawna Rae Bishop; stepson Pierson Ray Hollingsworth; 5 grandchildren, 20 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents Willis Andrew and Lillie Mae Wimberley; siblings Lolita Johnson, Loretta Pace, Leon Wimberley, E.Q. Wimberley, R.Q. Wimberley, Floyd Wimberley, Lawrence Wimberley.
Faye had various talents; working in the clothing industry in Abilene, modeling for the Abilene Beauty College and cooking her famous cinnamon rolls for the Abilene school district. She retired from Abilene ISD after 22 years of service in the Food Service department.
Faye lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures whether visiting with friends, spending time with family, playing Yahtzee (which she always won) or putting together puzzles (borders always had to be completed first). She considered her family as one of her greatest accomplishments. She had a quiet strength, never complained and always looked to a better future. She was ever calm but strong and steadfast in her faith and love of the Lord.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Elliott Hamil Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 2:00pm at Elliott Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Highway 277 South, Abilene, Texas. Pastor Roy Meksch and Brother Jimmy Griffith will be officiating the service. Pallbearers; Colby Johnson, Jeff Crawford, Cody Stewart, Case Braswell, Eric Bishop and Timothy Pruitt.
