Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Highway 277 South, Abilene, with Jim Henegar officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Margie was born June 11, 1934 to Ernest Malcomb Ward and Connie Bell Mobley Ward in Brundidge, Alabama. She married Roy Claybrook. Margie was employed with the Abilene State School for twenty years as a dorm supervisor. She loved oil painting, working in her garden, decorating for the holidays, and square dancing. Margie was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Claybrook; a son, Darrell Claybrook; a grandson, Jeremy Bartlett; three sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include three sons, Tim Claybrook of Abilene, Bill Soleymani of Euless, Texas, and Kendle Koonsman of Abilene; three daughters, Beverly Claybrook of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Tenia Claybrook Brashear and Toni Claybrook Rodgers, both of Abilene; a brother, Doug Ward of Eldorado, Texas; three sisters, Betty Ward of Malvern, Arkansas, Audrey Wulf of Midland, Texas, and Tina Marshall of Monahans, Texas; grandchildren, Krystal Claybrook Harris, Alisha Mejia, Heather Woodward, Taylor Claybrook Turner, Stephanie Claybrook, Kylie Claybrook, and Taryn Claybrook Stone; and three great-grandchildren.
