Mom, the one thing I will always remember is how much you enjoyed traveling. Even if it was to just go camping and fishing. You were always so well prepared for anything. You treasured the smallest of things given to you. Your pride (besides your kids and family) was your love of gardening. The last time you sat out on the back patio you watched me as i struggled to plant a plant in the ground and said.... oh mija.. I can’t go anywhere yet, you still need your momma to teach you how to plant the right way. Well needless to say, that statement is true because that plant is not doing so well. I guess we never really stop learning from our mothers no matter how old we are.
19 years ago to the day June 14, 1999 we were having a blast touring the streets of Philadelphia on a horse and buggy ride. We seen, we learned, we laughed, we shopped and we ate. It was a great Mother and daughter time. Oh, and let’s not forget your trip to NYC! Lol, oh boy, that was a time to remember.
I’m happy to know that you have gone to join Sister Carolina and your hubby Jr. and that your struggle is over and your free.
I will always carry you in my heart and I can still hear your voice telling me little things like you always did. I love you mom.
Your daughter, Ernie. 🌷

A fun mother in law. Taught me how to play chicken leg dominos. I always enjoyed my time with mom Mary. Love and miss you.
