Maria Alvesa Rocha, 61, of Abilene passed away on Sunday January 7, 2018. Maria was born April 23, 1956 in Odessa, TX. A visitation will be held at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home located at 5701 Highway 277 South Abilene, TX. Rosary will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 7pm at Elliott-Hamil. Funeral services will be Friday January 12, 2018 at 10am at St. Vincent Catholic Church located at 2525 Westview Dr. in Abilene, TX. Burial will follow at Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Maria is preceded in death by her mother Ramona Bersosa & sister Esmerelda (Smitty) Cruz
Maria is survived by her son Alphonse Ybarra Sr. of Abilene, TX; 2 sisters, Diana Gamboa of San Angelo, TX & Christy Bersosa of Abilene, TX; 3 brothers, Benjamin Jr. Bersosa, Leo Bersosa & Eddy Bersosa all of Abilene, TX’ 4 grandchildren all of Abilene, TX; 3 great grandchildren all of Abilene, TX; Maria also had a lot of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a lot of friends who loved her dearly. The family would like to thank Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home for all of the great support and compassion they provided to the family. We also want to thank everyone for all the prayers.
