

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories with her beloved friend Pastor Donna Lang McKinney officiating. Her remains will be placed next to her late husband.
MaryAnne was born on June 12, 1947, in Knoxville, TN to the late John Nelson Davis, Jr. and Wanda (Francis) Davis. She grew up with two sisters and they maintained a close relationship until they passed too soon. The family relocated to Titusville, Florida following her father’s career where she graduated from Titusville High School. MaryAnne was a lifelong learner and committed to improving herself. She continued her education at DBCC., BCC-Florida and University of Houston. She also obtained certifications and certificates through professional studies in Real Estate and Law, and Hotel and Restaurant Management. She was devoted to the many professions she worked in from real estate, food service, hardworking entrepreneur, and a defensive driving teacher to name a few. A woman of deep faith her walk with the Lord served as a compass in life for anyone who knew her. She also laid a foundation for children ensuring as children they accompanied her to revivals and services. She even continued her ministry studies to ensure that she was able to minister and serve God’s people. She was currently working on a book about healing, memories, and miracles (finished date TBD…and continued formation by her daughter.)
MaryAnne was deeply devoted to her family. She served as a second mother to her nieces and nephews, relationships that were so dear to her. Her extended family went beyond her nieces she served as a mother figure to many and could be counted on. As her children started families she cherished being a grandmother and was grateful for any time she got to spend with her grandchildren. It is hard to contain her life into words as she touched so many people in special and personal ways. She will be remembered as mother, an author, MADD advocate, minister, right to life member, televangelist, caregiver, miracle worker and all-around angel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert E, Monteith, sisters, Brenda Jane Johnson and Linda Arthur and niece Melissa Johnson.
She is survived by her devoted children, daughter, Wanda Anne-Tamara Holt; son, Davis William Troy Holt(Gillian); grandchildren, Brendan Jacob Holt, Andrew Holt and Addison Holt; nieces, Jade Hachem and Michelle Johnsons, nephews, John Williams, Nelson (Bo) Johnson, Jerry Lynn Johnson, Jr. ; and numerous others who she considered to be her children; cousins and colleagues and special friends.
