Born to Jesse and Elvia Lopez, he was the middle child and he played his role well growing up always breaking up his brother and sister from their sibling fights. From birth to his passing, Adrian remained extremely close to both of his siblings. His older brother, Daniel, lives eight hours away in South Texas and they spoke daily. Their greeting was always the same, “what’s up, Fat Boy,” or “what’s up Fatso!” Every Spring Break for the last 22 years, without fail, he drove his family to visit his brother. First in San Antonio and even still when he moved 8 hours away. Always stopping on the way to grab all the Allsup’s burritos for “Fatso”. When the two of them were together Daniel often had tears in eyes. Only Adrian had a way of making him laugh so hard he cried. Even if it was just a simple look he gave, Daniel could not control his laughter. His relationship with his little sister Claudia was very special! She knew she could call on him and he would be there NO MATTER WHAT. Always cracking jokes with her but being her rock when she needed him.
Adrian’s greatest joy in life was his family! He loved big and his kids were blessed to know that kind of big love. They made him so proud in everything they did. He would often tell Jennifer how blessed he was being their Dad. Jaliyah is the oldest and the one he could count on for anything. She made him a Pop! Celicia “Nana” is his tough one He knew she meant business. He called her Jennifer Jr. He called Laila Grace, Sugg. She is his sweet one. He would often say “aww my Sugg always with a smile on her face”. Jenna Avielle is his princess, they bumped heads a lot but he was quick to defend her. JesseJames is his only son and favorite son. Named Jesse after Adrian’s dad. He loved working with him, showing him things and had big plans to rebuild their 1963 Chevy Impala SS. He enjoyed coaching them in softball, football, and soccer. He was excited about coaching his granddaughter, Juno in whatever sport she was going to be in! She was his pride and joy, you couldn’t tell him anything about her. He loved her so much and she was crazy about her Pop. He was the perfect example of a great father and grandfather. He was patient, wise with words, and very loving. So loving wise and patient that his kids jokingly called him “MomDad” which meant dad’s being serious we better get it together.
Adrian was everything to his wife, Jennifer and she was everything to him. His love for her was unconditional. They were high school sweethearts, had been married 22 years and were still so in love! He would pop up at her work to take her a drink just to see her before he went home. They did everything together. Jennifer would be there at his side for most anything he worked on.
Adrian enjoyed cooking and grilling. Mastering his famous street tacos, he recently started up a small catering business called “Pop’s Tacos”. Pop being his grandpa name it was the perfect pick for the business and he was very proud about it! His kids were his biggest promoters and supporters. They helped him with everything along the way.
Adrian was also a man of God. In recent years he began to search for truth and recommitted his life to the Lord. He attended New Hope Church. Though he would never claim perfection you could see changes in his day to day life as he responded to the challenges that life brings.
Adrian is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Lopez. His daughters Jaliyah Maria(Mario), Celicia Adrianna (Sierra), Laila Grace (Scotty), Jenna Avielle (Joseph) and his son JesseJames Lopez. Granddaughter Juno Murillo and a very special nephew who was like a grandson to him, Alejandro Olvera. Mother Elvia Garcia(Gregorio), grandmother “Mama” Juanita Rangel. He was preceded in death by his daughter Cloe Jesslyn Lopez. Father Jesse Lopez. Grandparents Benito and Maria Lopez and Jose Rangel. Mother in law Juanita Garza, brother in law Eric Tonche and nephew Chevy Rodriguez.
