Mildred “Millie” Choate, 88, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 in Arlington, TX. Graveside services will be 1:00p.m., Monday, June 30, 2014 in the Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery with Pastor Steven Brooks officiating under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South, Abilene. Visitation will be from 11:00a.m - 1:00p.m. at the funeral home on Monday prior to the graveside service.
Millie was born in Hillsboro, Texas on May 18, 1926 to the late W.W. McCoy and Dottie Marlow McCoy. She attended public schools and on September 5, 1944 married Raymond M. Choate. She was a homemaker and a long standing member of Fairmont United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Mike Choate of Arlington, TX; a sister, Hilda Rucker of Denver City, TX; granddaughter, Lindsay Mowery of The Woodlands, TX; and great-grandsons, Cale and Luke Mowery of The Woodlands, TX.
