Minnie Wright

Minnie W. Wright of Abilene, TX passed away at a local nursing home on Thursday, November 20, 2014. Minnie was 90 years 11 months and 12 days old. She was born on December 8,1923 to Charles and Elizabeth Whittworth. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Charles Wright, a daughter, Alberta Wilcher, and her three siblings, Ralph, Everet, and Fannie Whittworth.

In 1941 she moved to Abilene, TX where she met and married Robert Wright on June 28, 1941. They had three children. Minnie worked as a maid at Dyess Air Force Base for sixteen and a half years. She belonged to the church of the Salvation Army.

Minnie is survived by a daughter, Deanna Taylor of Hamlin; four grandchildren, Lynn Sellers of Abilene, James Sellers of Abilene, Jacqueline Henry of Scotts Valley, California, and Amanda Henry of Iran, TX; and six great-grandchildren.
