

Nancy Carolyn King, 72, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at a local medical center in Abilene. Services will be 2:00p.m., today, February 1, 2013 at Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd St., with Pastor Dennis McNulty officiating under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home.
Nancy was born on June 24, 1940 to W.B. and Claude Nesbit McDonald in Emerson, Arkansas. She grew up to be a very caring person which showed in her work. Nancy worked at the Abilene State School (now Abilene State Supported Living Center) for a number of years and then worked as a caregiver and house parent for 14 years at Disability Resources of Abilene. She was an avid bowler, belonging to leagues and competing in many tournaments. Nancy also enjoyed sewing and crafts and was a member of North Side Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include her husband, James King of Abilene; her daughters, Lori Stanley of Hawley, Sondra Johnston and husband, Aaron of Corpus Christi, and Renee McNulty and husband, Dennis of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren, Terry Johnston, Brock Johnston, Bonnie Brooks, Austin McNulty, Travis McNulty, Hailey McNulty, and Sean McNulty; great-grandchildren, Mason Johnston, Brenna Johnston, Hayden Johnston, and Olivia Brooks.
