Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2013, in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Paul Matta officiating under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory Street, Abilene.
Cheryl was born outside of Paducah, Texas and grew up and attended schools in Paducah where she was raised by her mother, Hazel Donaghe. She married Claude Barker and they had Russel, Corey, and Misty.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Claude Barker in 1980; and in 2007, Cheryl’s son, Corey, at the age of 34, passed away from a lifetime of diabetes.
Cheryl requested at her son’s funeral that her son fly high with the eagles and join his father. So, Cheryl, fly, fly with Corey and Claude.
