Nell Travis Teague Grant

Services celebrating her life will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Baird and Rev. Russell Golden officiating. Interment will follow at Cross Plains Memorial Park in Cross Plains, Texas.

Nell was born on July 2, 1939, in Edcouch, Texas to the late Thomas Martin Travis and Ethel Buelah (Hawkins) Dupre. She grew up in Abilene and was a proud Abilene High Eagle in the class of 1957. She married the late Bill Teague and together they had four children. Nell was always hardworking and ambitious. She worked numerous places, most notably, the manager of Olan Mills and was coined, "Olan Mills Lady". She was also an entrepreneur working in real estate investments. She fiercely loved her sweet Lord and Savior! She had a passion to share his love and grace with everyone she encountered. She planted the seeds of faith in the hearts of her children. These seeds have bloomed and been passed down for generations. She was a longtime member of Abundant Life Apostolic Ministries.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carolyn Swinney; three additional sisters; three brothers and a grandson, Larry Joe Abbe.

She leaves in the hands of Jesus, her children, Brenda Abbe and husband Larry, Jeanna Chambers, Mike Teague and wife, LaJeana, and Michelle Teague; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Snelson, Treyson Abbe, Memory Flores, Brandi Dolbin, Billy Teague, Michael Teague, Kailey Coonrod, Hannah Teague, Riley Owens and Micaden Griffin; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Recil Travis and Mary Napier and numerous nieces and nephews. Nell also leaves an abundance of close friends who she cherished.
