Nicole Olvedo, age 32, passed from this life into her Heavenly one on Friday, December 18, 2020. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 10 AM in the Elliott Hamil Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Brown, Pastor of Grace Point Church, officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 8 AM until the service time at the Elliott Hamil Funeral Home Chapel located at 5701 US Hwy. 277 South in Abilene.
Nicole was born on October 14, 1988 to Oscar and Tina (Hinkle) Olvedo. She graduated from Abilene High School in 2007. She met the love of her life, Pete Silva, in elementary school, but had lost touch with him after high school. In 2013, they reconnected and began sharing and making a life together.
Nicole was a hard worker. She loved her work at Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union, and had even been nominated by her work for courses through CUNA to train her for eventual movement into management. Additionally, she worked part-time for the Water Hole #2. She was intelligent and driven to further herself.
Above all else, Nicole was a caring and giving person who loved to help people. She wore a smile all the time, even when wearing a mask. She loved spending time with family and friends, and could often be found watching TV, especially Grey’s Anatomy, The Office and Netflix movies and shows. She was a wonderful and loving daughter, wife and mother, and will be terribly missed by her family, friends and co-workers.
Nicole was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jennie Hinkle; grandfathers, Adan Oscar Olvedo and Robert M. Hinkle; uncles, Armando Adan Olvedo and Roy Vasquez; and an aunt, Sulema Flores.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Oscar and Tina Olvedo; husband, Pete Silva; two sons, Lucas Antonio Silva and Gabriel William Silva; one daughter, Breleigh Rae Silva; and a host of extended family and friends.
Memorial donations may be sent to the March of Dimes.

Cora Nicole was my saving grace for over two decades. She was my longest friendship and bonus sister growing up that God graced me with knowing right when I needed her. I have countless memories of passing notes in the hallway , secrets we swore never to tell , sleepovers, inside jokes that will always make me crack a smile , and songs that can instantly bring me back to a single moment in time . Nicole was the most beautiful soul I've ever known. I await the day I'm able to hug her sweet neck and laugh with her by my side again .
"To infinity and beyond " best friend. I love you so very much .

Nicole was an amazing lady to work with. She always had a beautiful smile. I felt we had a friendship not a work relationship. She will be missed dearly. Praying for the family and friends

I am at a loss for words for you and your entire family. I loved her so much and considered her a true friend. She was a part of my everyday calls and text. She was the kindest, most generous, loving friend I could have asked for. I will miss her presence but know she is with Jesus resting. Our continued prayers for the entire family! May God’’s loving arms be a blanket around Pete, Lucas, Breley and Gabriel and her parents that miss her dearly.
