With grateful hearts and tearful eyes, we announce the passing of Ralph Edward Simpson, a cherished father, loyal friend and faithful follower of God, who entered eternal rest on July 18, 2025, at the age of 76.
Born on September 14,1948 to Oliver and Mary Lee Simpson in Abilene, TX, he and his siblings, Romona, Nancy, Freddie and Randy, were raised in Anson, TX. Ralph graduated from Anson High School in 1968. His passion for serving others was evident in his career options. He began serving his community in the 70’s working as an X-ray tech and Ambulance Driver for Anson General Hospital, in Anson. Then he began working on his real passion by attending and graduating from the Police Academy in May of 1982 and becoming a Police Officer for the City of Anson. He served with distinction for 15 years before retiring in 1996.
He took enjoyment in watching the Texas Rangers and Andy Griffith.
Though we mourn his absence, we find peace in the promise of scripture: “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.” Revelations 21:4 and “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7.
