Raymond was born in Villisca, Iowa. He served in the Navy as a Radar Operator during World War II. In 1951, he married his wife, Virginia, who preceded him in death on December 25, 2001. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Wright.
He is survived by his son, Larry Wright and wife Suzi; daughter, Cindy Webb; grandsons, Curits Wright and wife Daniela, Matthew Webb and wife Sylvia, and Trevor Wright; and great grandchildren, Randen and Garren Wright and Madison Webb.
