

Rose was born on February 4, 1938, in Stamford, Texas to the late Marshall Warren Freeman and Bessie (Griggs) Pearson. Her grandparents had a great influence on her life growing up as well. Rose married Jake Johnny Mullins on March 25, 1955, in Stamford. Rose was a Maintenance Supervisor for South Western Bell Telephone Company for many years. She moved to several locations with the company. She eventually settled in Abilene, Texas. Rose and Jake had one daughter who passed many years ago in a car accident. Rose carried her memory with until she passed. She enjoyed every opportunity to brag about Melissa.
Rose was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed attending the Rose Park Senior Center. She made many friends as she passed through life and cherished many of those relationships as if they were family. She will be remembered for her love and brutal honesty; you never had to wonder where you stood with Rose or what she felt about any matter.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband; infant son, Johnny Rex Mullins; daughters, baby girl Brenda Joyce Mullins; and Melissa Dawn Mullins.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Minnie Ammons of Merkel and Maudie Russ of Stamford; brother-in-law, George Mullins of San Angelo. Special relations Katie, Melissa, James and Irene Culpepper, Lori, Bobby, Kimberly, and Charla Blake. Memorial contributions in her name can be made to the Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.
She will be laid to rest with her husband Jake Mullins at the Texas Veterans Cemetery in Abilene. No services will be held.
