Russell Trent Hancock

Russell Trent Hancock, age 51, died on Friday, April 6, 2012 in an Abilene hospital after several years of failing health. Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory St., Abilene, Texas.

Russell was born on December 23, 1960 in Levelland, Texas to Herschel and Ava Hancock. He graduated from Cooper High School in 1979. Russell was on dialysis for several years and was fortunate to have had a transplant in 1988, lasting for 24 years.

He is survived by his parents, Herschel and Ava Hancock of Breckenridge, TX; two brothers, Steven Hancock and wife, Carla of Iowa Park, TX and Kerry Hancock and wife, Brenda of Glen Rose, TX; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and a niece; and a very special person, Claudette Prusinski of Abilene.
