Sarah A. Dunman

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory Street, Abilene, with Bishop Mack Moye officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dunman was born to Steve and Sarah (Perkins) Odoms on March 1, 1916 in Austwell, Texas. She married Robert Dunman on November 4, 1933 in Austwell, Texas. They moved to Abilene in 1941. Mrs. Dunman had many hobbies including working in her yard, sewing, canning produce, and being a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Dunman; and four brothers.

Survivors include her sons, Robert L. Dunman (Earnestine) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Roston I. Dunman (Tonja) of Abilene; her daughter, Louise McGlotten of Abilene; six grandchildren, Robert Dunman Jr. (Deatra), of Houston, Texas, Renee Shafer (Reginald) of Louisville, Kentucky, Reginald McGlotten (Dina) of Southington, Connecticut, Regina Richardson (Carlton) of Atlanta, Georgia, DaVina Dunman of Arlington, Texas, and Danita Dunman of Grand Prairie, Texas; and ten great-grandchildren.
