Sterling was born in Abilene on September 20, 1978 to Sterling and Linda Coleman Robertson, Sr. He was a 1997 graduate of Abilene High School and graduated from UTA in 2001 and from HSU in 2015. Sterling obtained his pilot’s license at the age of 17. He loved motorsports, a good book, history, good friends, poetry and music. Sterling tended to be himself, a little on the quirky side, thoughtful and kind-hearted. He was very expressive in his own way. Sterling and his son, Connor were the two proverbial peas in a pod. He was a member of First Central Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his parents, Sterling and Linda Robertson of Abilene; his son, Connor Robertson of Euless, TX; aunts and uncles, Steven and Jean Hardies, Rusty and Sandra Robertson, Sally Satterwhite, Norman and Brenda Hamilton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals On Wheels.
