William Joe Love

William Joe "Bill" Love, 72, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012, in Brownwood. Funeral services will be 2:00p.m., Monday, February 6, 2012 at Community Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd, Abilene with Jay Don Poindexter officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Anson, TX under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, February 5, 2012 from 2 to 4p.m. at the funeral home.

Bill was born September 8, 1939 to Joseph Harvey Love and Ruthie Mae Key in Anson, TX. He moved to Abilene from Anson in 1954.

A couple of things that Bill enjoyed were playing dominoes and watching western movies. He also really loved his parakeets, "Loretta Lynn" and "Conway Twitty".

Special thanks to the staff at Bangs Nursing Center where he resided for eight years. Bill was also a resident of Merkel Nursing Center and a member of the Merkel Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and one sister, Mable Bauer.

Survivors include two sisters, Gayle Rynders and husband, Ray of Abilene and Mozetta Youngers of Merkel; as well as several nieces and nephews.
