Unexpectedly at the Georgetown Hospital on Sunday morning, May 17, 2009.
Bruce was the beloved husband of Rhoda and the proud father of Susan Wrona (Stan) of Brantford and Nancy Shoemaker of Mississauga and loving grandfather of Tara Buchanan (Wendy) of Brantford.
Bruce will be missed by his nieces and nephews, friends and associates.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 20th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at 55 Mill Street East, Acton, which for more than forty years was their funeral home.
The funeral service to celebrate Bruce’s life will be conducted by the Rev. Philip Rodgers in the “Shoemaker Chapel” on Thursday, May 21 at two o’clock. The interment will follow in the family plot at Fairview Cemetery.
Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Princess Margaret Hospital or Trinity United Church (Acton) would be appreciated by the family.
