(Gus) Harold Henry Jeffrey

Gus will be forever remembered and loved by his adoring wife and soulmate Donna, their children Scott and Sean, his daughter in-law Kelly, and his three grandchildren Bo, Erik, and Justin.

He is remembered affectionately by his many siblings and their spouses, Betty Lou McNerney, Herb and Betty, Ron and Sheila, Pat Krieger, Dorothy and Gene Noble, Judy and Barry Hoyle, Bill and Arlene, Sue Kolompar, and his sister-in-law Lynne.

Gus will be sadly missed by Donna’s parents Victor and Sophie Mihay, his sister in-law Karen Mihay and her husband Leonard, and his niece Melissa.

Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Dorothy (Bud) Jeffrey, his dear sister Mame and her husband Stan Clarke, his brother Vern, and his brother in-law Gerry McNerny.

Recently retired and working on the golf greens of Grand Bend, Gus continued to have strong ties to the town of Acton where he raised his family, and resided for 31 years.

When not in the Acton Meadows club house, or on the ice at the Curling Club, he was an active member of the community through his membership and past presidency with the Acton Legion Br. 197. Whether it was his quick wit, or his unyielding compassion for others, Gus will be fondly remembered by all who had the good fortune to know him. Our deepest thanks to all the family and friends who generously gave their love and support, and our sincerest gratitude to the nursing staff at Bayshore Home Health, the VON and the CCAC who made it possible for Gus to complete his journey at home.

The family will receive friends at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, “Shoemaker Chapel”, 55 Mill Street East, Acton on Friday, October 9th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The Legion Tribute will take place at 7:00 p.m.

A service to celebrate his life will take place on Saturday, October 10th at 2:30 pm at the Acton Legion, Branch 197, 15 Wright Avenue, Acton.
