Loving wife of 63 years to the late Robert Corby Leavens (September 2025).
Daughter of the late Dorothy and Earl Ballard. Sister of Dawn and her husband Robert, Doug and his wife Debbie, and the late Carol Smith. Dear sister-in-law of Barbara Peters, and Joan Davies.
Joan will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews Kerry Ferguson, Nancy Darnel (David) and their son Jarod, Bruce Peters, Susan, Dean, Justin (Danielle) and their son Beckham. Tara Smith, Danielle Nixon (Steve), Melanie Ballard, Amanda Atto (June), Garth Smith (Vicki) and by her friends and extended family.
Joan enjoyed being an an active member line dancing at the Hillsview Active Living Centre.
