It was my pleasure to work with Councillor O'Leary at the Town of Halton Hills and I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to his family.

Growing up mike was my neighbour, I will never have such an amazing neighbour like he was. When I was little my sister and I couldn't pronounce his name, so we referred to him as uncle Larry. Once we moved away, we lost touch. However, the times I ran into him around town and didn't recognize me,
As soon as I called him uncle Larry, he knew exactly who I was. 
He was such an amazing kind man. I will cherish these memories he gave me forever, and will never be forgotten. He will always be my uncle Larry xo

	When I was first married we lived beside Mike.  My two girls always had a hard time saying Mike O'Leary and for some unknown reason it came out as Uncle Larry.  To this very day when ever they would talk of Mike it was always Uncle Larry  When my son was born in 1999 Mike was so happy that he finally had a baby boy that he could call his own grand neighbour baby.  He was so funny.  He would come over to the house and take Ty for hours.  He would just sit on the front porch with Uncle Larry and Auntie Mary.  My kids looked up to both of these wonderful human beings.  Heaven now has another angel.

I always enjoyed Mike’s wit and strong opinions.  I will miss my annual stint with Mike as part of the Knights of Columbus’ security detail at the Front Gates of Prospect Park for the Acton Fall Fair.  It was always a blast with Mike around. Mike was truly a pleasure to work with.  He always had a smile and spoke so highly of his 'girls'.  He will be sadly missed at the Town of Halton Hills.

My thoughts and prayers to Mike's family.  Councillor O'Leary will be truly missed.  I will never forget his charm, wit and his knowledge at the Council table.  But most importantly, his infectious smile when speaking about his family.  

We are all so sorry for your loss.  Mike was a friend and such an important part of our history. He will be missed, but not forgotten.  Thinking of all of you during this difficult time.
