Alicia Nogales, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, in Sahuarita, Arizona. Originally from Mazatlan, Mexico, Alicia brought warmth, dedication, and love to everyone she met.
Born on January 16, 1946, Alicia was the daughter of Emilia Torres and Manuel Peña. On May 4, 1965, she married her lifelong partner, Alfredo G. (Chino) Nogales, in Sonoyta, Sonora, Mexico. Together they built a home filled with laughter, love, and strong family bonds.
Alicia took great pride in creating a welcoming home. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her children Javier, Alfredo, Miguel, Anthony, and Myrna. She watched with pride as her family grew to include 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Each one carries her spirit and values. She cared for her family and her garden with equal devotion, always nurturing life and connection.
A woman of faith, Alicia was a member of the Ajo Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she found comfort and community. She enjoyed gardening, music, and cheering for her favorite fútbol teams. Her love for nature and her zest for life inspired everyone who knew her.
Alicia is survived by her loving husband Alfredo G. Nogales, her children Javier, Alfredo, Miguel, Anthony, and Myrna, her sister Gabriela Medina, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory.
We remember Alicia as a remarkable woman whose strength, kindness, and compassion touched many lives. Her legacy lives on through her family, reminding us to find joy in small moments and to cherish our loved ones above all. Rest in peace dear Alicia. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
