Franklin Ennis Bustos, affectionately known as "Poncho," peacefully passed away on December 29, 2025, in Ajo Arizona. Born on August 10, 1943, in Quito, Ecuador, Franklin embraced life with grit and determination, leaving a lasting legacy for his family and community.
Franklin's career began in earnest when he relocated to Ajo in 1992, where he served as a dedicated truck driver for the Post Office. His work ethic and commitment to service were a testament to his character, and he took great pride in his role within the community. Prior to his life in Ajo, Franklin honorably served in the military in Ecuador, where he worked as a Military Police officer—a foundational experience that shaped his sense of duty and discipline.
An individual of humble educational background, Franklin completed the 11th grade; however, his wisdom and life experiences enriched the lives of those around him far beyond formal education. Franklin had an innate ability to connect with others, bringing camaraderie and joy to every interaction.
Franklin is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Bustos, and their cherished daughter, Olivia Bustos. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren and delighted in the company of six great-grandchildren, whose lives he influenced with his kindness and warmth.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Walsh, whose memory will forever hold a special place in the hearts of Franklin's family.
As we remember Franklin Ennis Bustos, we celebrate a life filled with love, service, and an enduring spirit. His legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of sharing in his journey.
