

Rosalvina Gonzales Pickle, affectionately known as Rosa, left this world on May 11, 2025, at the age of 71, surrounded by the love of her family in Tucson. A cherished mother, grandmother, and sister, Rosa was born on November 2, 1953, in the town of Ajo, where her vibrant spirit began to shine.
Rosa devoted her life to the joys of family, pouring love and warmth into every moment spent with her husband, Thomas D. Pickle, and her children: Jessica L. Montes, Mike T. Pickle, Mandy R. Pickle, and Matthew R. Pickle. She cherished each of her grandchildren, showering them with affection and wisdom. To them, she was more than just a grandmother; she was a confidante, a storyteller, and a guiding light, imparting lessons of love and resilience. She is also survived by her brother Frank G. Mesquita.
Rosa also held the memories of her brothers, Jesus G. Mesquita and David G. Mesquita, close to her heart. Though they have passed on, the love and laughter they shared continue to resonate in the stories and moments she recalled fondly.
Rosa’s personality was radiant; she exemplified kindness, compassion, and an unwavering love for family. She thrived in moments spent together, whether around the kitchen table sharing meals or creating lasting memories during family gatherings. A beacon of love and joy, she leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.
As we say goodbye to Rosa, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by deep connections, unwavering love, and precious moments that will be forever held in the hearts of her family and friends. She may have departed from this world, but the love she shared will continue to guide and inspire those she has left behind. Rest in peace, dear Rosa. Your memory will be a warm embrace for all who loved you.
A visitation for Rosalvina will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Douglass Funeral Home, 11 W. Pajaro St., Ajo, AZ 85321. Mass will occur Friday, May 23, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 100 N Pizal Ln, Ajo, AZ 85321. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 23, 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at Ajo Cemetery, 1181 Cedar St, Ajo, AZ 85321.
Rosalvina will be laid to rest in Ajo Cemetery, 1181 Cedar St, Ajo, AZ 85321.
