He was born on December 7, 1936, in Reedsville, West Virginia to Albert Ray and Carrie Costlow.
For 67 years, Albert shared a devoted marriage with the late Shirley Costlow—his best friend and steady companion. He passed away just 26 days after Shirley’s death on June 11, 2026, a loss that left him heartbroken. Their life together reflected a quiet constancy and deep loyalty, marked by the kind of enduring love that shapes a home and anchors a family.
Albert was a hard-working man who spent his career as a machinist at Ford Motor, retiring after many years of dedicated service. He carried himself with a dependable steadiness and a compassionate spirit that those close to him recognized in both small gestures and lifelong commitments.
Outside of work, Albert found enjoyment in fishing and hunting—simple, familiar pursuits that suited his practical nature and appreciation for time spent outdoors.
Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Costlow; his father, Albert Ray Costlow; his mother, Carrie Costlow; and his brother, Harry Costlow.
Albert is survived by his son, Michael Costlow; his daughter, Kimberly Costlow-Spangler (Stephen); his grandson, Chaz Costlow-Spangler; and his bonus daughter, Ann Tisci. Albert also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.
