Arthur Blaine Miller

Arthur (Blaine) Miller, 79, passed away Sunday April 11, 2021 in his home at Sunrise Senior Living of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

He was born September 1, 1941 in Calhoun County, West Virginia, the son of late Lenora and Lewis Miller. He was the oldest of 5 siblings. On April 14, 1962 he married Patsy Ann Hefner, who passed December 15, 2020. They were longtime residents of Stow, Ohio since 1979. He graduated from Gassaway High School. Served Our Country in the U.S. Army as an engineer battalion communication and deployed to France. After discharge, he moved his family to Ohio where he obtained Certification as an Electrical Technician. He climbed the corporate ladder working for Akron Standard, MRC Inc. and VMI Inc. where he retired doing what he loved best, which was hands on and problem solving in a management position.

He is survived by his daughter Sherrie Miller of Fairport Harbor, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Scott Strong of St. Petersburg, Fl; daughter Jennifer Miller of St. Petersburg, Fl; grandchildren Timothy and Jessi Wickland, Anthony and Katrese Barta, Brittany and Josh Kaye, Cassandra Wickland, Frances Wickland, Daniel Barta all in Ohio, and Aaron Wickland of Nebraska. Great grandchildren Dylan, Jacob, Nolan, Gabriel, Shelby, Maverick, Brody and Gotham. Brothers Ronnie and Betty Miller, Steve and Diane Miller, Dean and Sue Miller and sister Patricia Fussell and sister-in-law Minnie Nottingham, all of W.Va.

A service will be held Monday April 19th, 2021 at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 3653 W. Market St. Akron, Ohio 44333. Viewing at 11am and Memorial Service will begin at 12 noon with graveside service following immediately after. Memories and condolences may be shared at

Our sympathy to Sherrie, Pam, and Jennifer. To have lost your dad so soon after your mom is heartbreaking. Your dad loved neighborhood chats in the driveway, or out back in the gazebo. He always loved company. Our neighborhood is not the same without them.
