Barbara was born April 3, 1949 in Akron to the late Claude and Lelia (Evans) Robinson. She was a graduate of Central High School and went on to earn both her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Akron.
Barbara was a teacher for 29 years, finishing her career with more than a decade at Akron Public Schools' Glover Elementary. Over the years she enjoyed skiing, softball, bowling and golf. As a young mother living in Cuyahoga Falls she was a frequent classroom volunteer, Cub Scout den leader, and Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed trips to the beach with her family, hosting summer picnics and holiday parties, and going out with her co-workers.
Besides her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Vincent, son Timothy Dalchuk and brother Richard Conley.
Barbara is survived by her son Vincent (Roni) Dalchuk, her grandsons, Thomas and Philip; her brother Robert (Sonta) Robinson, her sister-in-law Beverly Conley, her brother-in-law Willard (Katrina Jett) Merriner, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends may call 5-7PM Tuesday at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 3653 W. Market St in Akron, where the funeral service will be held 11AM Wednesday. Interment in Rose Hill Burial Park.
