Cathy Chipner Rosenberg, 78, passed away on May 17 after a series of health issues. She was preceded in death by her mother, Harriette Chipner Pritt and father, Peter Chipner. She is survived by her husband Dick, son Dan, brother Larry (Sharon) Chipner, nieces Dawn (R.J.) Delapa, Cat (David) Stauffer, nephew Shawn (Carey) Chipner, cousins Jeanne Colosetti, and David (Cyndi) Wadyka and numerous friends who would be listed, except that inadvertently one or more would mistakenly be omitted.
Cathy was a loving, caring daughter, wife, mother and friend. Her friendships included people from high school (“The Hotties”) to early co-workers, and newer friends from IHM Church, the Natatorium, The
Quirk Center and the Falls Travel Club.
Cathy was one of those people who enjoyed just about everything in life. From mundane occurrences such as a “popcorn party” while watching a TV movie to rare adventures such as a river cruise in Europe, Cathy showed the same enthusiasm. She just loved “being busy” with people, places and/or things. Wherever she went; whatever she did; she was happy for the opportunity to participate. She was even happier when she could share her experiences with family or friends.
She will be sadly missed by all the people who knew her. Dick’s eulogy can be summed up as follows: “To paraphrase Kris Kristopherson, ‘I would trade all my tomorrows for a single yesterday to have Cathy by my side’”.
Cremation has taken place. Mass will be held at IHM Church in Cuyahoga Falls at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 23. A calling hour immediately before mass will be held at the church beginning at 10:00 AM.
Please no flowers. If you wish to commemorate Cathy’s life, consider making a donation to the Father McIntyre Fund at IHM School/Church.
Thanks to all of you who made Cathy’s life such a joy.
