Darleen had moved from West Virginia at age 22 and worked as a welder, a seamstress and a beautician. She enjoyed helping people and flower gardening.
Darleen leaves behind her granddaughter Francine Marseille, nephew Harvey Finkel and several other nieces and nephews. She also leaves her dear friends whom she often referred to as family: Denver Harper, Dawn Harper, Michael Reppl, Joe and Joellen Kodish and their families.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara, her parents John and Cornelia Elliott and dear friends Una Bennett and Delores Harper.
Graveside funeral services will be held at the chapel of the mausoleum at Rose Hill Burial Park 3653 W. Market St. Fairlawn Monday, December 29, at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Battered Women’s Shelter of Summit and Medina County 974 East Market St. Akron, OH 44305.
