Dave E Tate

He was born to James A Tate and Edna Jean Ann Tate on October 2. 1952. Dave lived his entire life in Akron, OH and was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church. During his school years, he attended Zion Lutheran Elementary School, Central Hower, Anitoch College, Kent State, and the University of Akron. Dave was a member of the B.F. Goodrich Scout Troop and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and earned the Order of the Arrow. He worked for Topp Vending as a supervisor. Dave was an avid fan of the Ohio State University and the Cleveland Cavaliers, Indians and Browns.

Dave was preceded in death by his father James A Tate. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathryn, son Daniel (Colleen), grandchildren Ethan and Evelyn, his mother Edna Jean Ann Tate, sister Crystal (Jamie) Clason, and nephews Jared, Kyle and Evan Clason.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 28 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM in the Catavolos Funeral Home 3653 W Market St. Fairlawn OH. Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 PM.
