Above all else, Dave’s first love was his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His faith was more than something he believed in; it was something he lived every day. Throughout his life, he expressed his love for the Lord by helping, caring for, and showing kindness to others. His faith was at the heart of who he was and the way he touched the lives of those around him.
Dave had a deep love for the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Fishing was one of his greatest passions, bringing him joy and a connection to the outdoors he cherished. Whether enjoying the things he loved or lending a helping hand to someone in need, Dave lived a life guided by his faith and his care for others.
He is survived by his former wife, Nancy Lee Williams; his children, Colleen R. Williams, Brock Williams, Ryan Williams and his wife Kimberly Williams, and Alyssa Marie Williams; his grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, and Jacob Williams; and his sister, Marian K. Klayco.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Florence Williams, as well as Sandy Williams and Sharon "Sherry" Hunt.
Dave will also be remembered with love by special family members and friends, including Dave Hawanczak, Mark Yeager, Dwayne Gupton, and his friends Joe and Angel.
Though he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him, his faith, his love for the Lord, and the kindness he showed throughout his life will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service immediately following at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 3653 West Market Street, Akron, Ohio 44333. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park will follow the service.
May he rest in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ
