Dora Lee Good 89, went home to be with the Lord July 1, 2011 after a battle with cancer. Born March 14th, 1922 in St. Clairsville, Ohio. She had been a resident of Akron at least 50 some years. She was a member of St Paul A.M.E church for many years. She was one of the First Black women to graduate from the College of Beauty School in Ohio, and continued doing hair until she fell ill and was forced to give it up. Dora was many things to many people, and was always referred to as “Mom” to many. Dora was preceded in death by her parents; Albert Barnes and Ethel (Higgins) Barnes, and her husband, Clarence Good Sr.; her children Patricia J. Freeze of Arizona, Clarence Good Jr., and Ronny Good; and her grandson, Markie Good. She is survived by her sisters Mardale Jefferson, and Ellen Wilson both of Columbus, Ohio, three grandchildren; Clarence Jr. II and Richard Good, both of Ohio, and Stephanie Elaine Freeze-Molina of Arizona; 9 great grandchildren, Ashley Bruen-Wells of Arizona, Justin Lee, Amber Good, Khadijah Good, Jasmine Good , Brandi Good, Bria Good, Richard Good Jr., and the newest member, Ryan. She also leaves behind two great-great grandchildren, Gage Kinan Wells of Arizona, and Andre Amir Morlaes, and many other family members, and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 6, at 12 noon at the Catavolos Funeral Home 3653 W. Market St., Fairlawn, where family will receive friends from 10 am until services. Rev. Danella Bryant will be officiating. Entombment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park.
