Doris Irene Daniels

Doris was born in Fonde, Kentucky, to parents Oscar and Ella Mae (Sutton) Fields on September 13, 1932. She was one of ten children born to them and had been an Akron resident for 59 years. Doris had resided with her late husband in Port Charlotte, Florida for 12 years.

Doris had a huge, sweet tooth and loved watching Wheel of Fortune. Most of all she loved and enjoyed her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Doris is survived by her children: Steven (Eileen) Daniels, Dan Daniels and Pam Goode. She also leaves her 10 grandchildren and many loving great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and her brother Oscar Fields.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 71 years, Verlin Daniels, daughter Beverly Malone and 8 siblings.

Per Doris’s wishes, cremation is being honored, and no services are scheduled at this time.

Her family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to everyone at Cleveland Clinic Hospice for their wonderful compassion and care given to Doris.
