Dorothy Louise Conroy

Preceded in death by her parents Willard & Letha Long; brother Roy Long; and son-in-law Charles E Stump.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory George, husband of 69 years; Kimberly Stump, daughter; Glenna (Tony) Gingo, sister and brother-in-law; Julie Long, sister-in-law; and her granddog Annie.

Dorothy worked at the J.M Cleminshaw Co., in various states and Nova Scotia, Canada. Returning to Akron, she went to work at Bridgestone Firestone retiring in 1987, she then went to work full time in the family business Conroy Appraisal Service.

She enjoyed spending time visiting casinos, playing bingo, watching the Cleveland Indians, Browns, Cavaliers and Ohio State Buckeyes.

In July 2021 she moved into the Renaissance of Richfield where she made several dear friends and started a handful of residents gathering on one of the benches on Main Street before breakfast, lunch and dinner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dorothy’s name to the St Paul’s Episcopal Church, Akron or charity of your choice.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 1361 W Market St, Akron, OH 44313.
