She graduated High School from The Sacred Heart Academy, obtained her BA at the Cleveland Institute of Art, and then went on to Kent State University for her Teaching degree.
She was a dedicated art teacher for the Akron Public Schools for many years.
She was preceded in death by her son Richard Gordon, mother and father Michael and Elizabeth Schur, and 3 siblings, Bernie, Helen, and Sister Elizabeth.
Survived by Son Michael (Laurie), daughters Lynne (Steve), Phyllis (Tony), and Janice, sister-in-law Carol, niece Ann (Dan), and daughter-in-law Betty. Many Grand and Great Grandchildren.
Her vibrant creative energy will continue to leave a lasting impression on everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.
