

Sister was born on June 2, 1924 in Eufaula, Alabama to Sam and Willie (Holley) Poole. She went to school in Eufaula, Alabama. Sister worked for Brecksville Hospital in Food Service Department. Emma retired from the Akron Postal Service after many years of honorable service.
Emma traveled extensively. She visited Italy, Rome, England, Greece, and many of the Tropical Islands, and most of the United States. She was never afraid to drive herself and travel alone.
Her hobbies were swimming, watching basketball, football, and she enjoyed watching the Olympics. Current events, world events, politics, and voting rights were some of her passions. She was over-joyed when Barack Obama became the first African American President of the United States of America.
Emma was a fashionista Queen!
She was a faithful and committed member of The House of the Lord. She loved Bishop F.J. Johnson, II, and the House of the Lord Family.
Emma is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Walter “Toby” Poole, Ned B. Poole, Mary Stevens, Levi “Fats” Poole, Sam Poole, Jr., Ethel B. Brown, Almada P. Ricks, Alonzo “Buddy” Poole, and John Bartlett Poole, nephews and nieces, John Brown, Nathan Ricks, and Carmen Bell.
Emma leaves to cherish her memory her devoted God-daughter, Markita Lee, nieces and nephew, Gwendolyn Ricks, Jacqueline Ricks, Dr. Joyce A. Ricks, Ronald (Trina) Ricks, Comerlee (Fatso) Poole, and Jeanette Poole-Wallace, and many family and friends.
Emma lived a full, exciting, fulfilling life of 98 years. She said she had no regrets and she was ready. She will be sorely missed by anyone that ever knew her.
