Frank/Fran/Caps was born in Bound Brook, NJ to Frank (Sr.) and Marie Sinibaldi. He graduated from Bound Brook High School before attending Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI) as a member of the Corps of Cadets, earning a BS in Chemical Engineering. He then attended Rutgers University earning an MS in Applied and Mathematical Statistics. His career spanned work at Union Carbide, American Cyanamid, and General Tire and Rubber; he then took up consulting to International Paper (formerly Champion), Pfizer (formerly Wyeth) pharmaceuticals, as well as ASTM International (formerly American Society for Testing and Materials). A Master Black Belt of Six Sigma, Frank consulted in Quality Control and Total Quality Management for over 35 years. Self-trained in music, Frank was a proud member of the VPI cadet band, also known as the Highty Tighties, and led the spinoff dance band known as The Southern Colonels. He performed with musical giants like Louis Armstrong, very nearly following a professional career in music. An accomplished and passionate cook, Frank spent most of his adult life testing and perfecting regional Italian [family] recipes while providing amazing meals for anyone lucky enough to be in his home when he was cooking.
Predeceased by his parents, his brother David, and his precious dear heart Gwendolyn, he is survived by brothers Thomas and Kenneth, cousins, children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren that “made our days on Earth precious and priceless.”
Services will be held at the Rose Hill Funeral Home and Burial Park on Saturday, January 30, 2026 at 11:00AM.
Frank was an ardent supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to this, his favorite cause.
