My condolences on the passing of Gerald. Growing up in Carey, I knew Ralph and Clete and Gilbert, but regret not having had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Gerald. (My wife and I live in Medina, and I work in Akron.) No doubt, he was a wonderful man, and will be dearly missed. May you find joy in your memories of Gerald, and peace and comfort from a life well-lived.
P.S. I would also like to express my appreciation for his service to our country!
God Bless!

Jerry was my uncle. My mother, Anna, was his wife, Dorothy’s sister. When I was young, I can remember visiting Akron with my parents and taking walks with him. He had a favorite route through the neighborhood that ended at my grandmother’s house. Often, my father would be along and we would have good conversations about all sorts of things. Other times, we just walked and enjoyed the quiet country road. Those walks were a highlight of my Akron visits.

Dear Laura, Renee, Alan and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you on the loss of your dad, grandpa, great grandpa. What a wonderful man. Quiet, but wonderful! We spent many afternoons playing cards at the Green homestead. I will always remember that little smile and his fun birthday party in Carey. He had such a neat sense of humor and will be missed.
Love to all of you,
Rita, John ,Mike and Jonathan
