Giuseppe Vittoria

Giuseppe was born on June 13, 1930 in the town of Vittoria, Sicily to Biagio and Giovanna Vittoria. He migrated to the United States in 1971 with his family and settled in Trumbull, Connecticut. Giuseppe worked at Avery Abrasives. He was also worked in a local bakery for many years. After retiring, he and his wife of over 60 years, moved to Akron, Ohio to be closer to his grandchildren. Giuseppe enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Giuseppina, and siblings Titta, Raffele, Giovanni, and Giovanna.

Giuseppe will be deeply missed by his children, Biagio (Maridsa) Vittoria and Salvatore (Elizabeth) Vittoria, grandchildren, Elisa (Jason) Lancaster, and Marisa (Neil) Jacobsen, great-grandchildren, Vivian, Mason, Evelynn, Maeve, and Lucy, siblings, Maria DeCaro, and Michele Vittoria, sister-in-law, Fanny Vittorio, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may come to call on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 11-12 at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 3653 West Market Street, Akron. A prayer service will follow at 12:15 p.m. Burial at Rose Hill Burial Park.
