In loving memory of Jerrell Dean Morgan, aka "Tiger", age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15, 2025
Tiger was born August 18, 1943, to the late Jerry C. Morgan and Wilma (Ayers) Morgan in Akron, Ohio. He was a member of Celebration Church Akron.
Tiger loved sports of all kinds. He was inducted into the Akron Softball Hall of Fame in 2010. He was active in the Softball Umpires Association, The USAA and the USSAA. He coached a number of teams, including his own family team, Tiger's cubs. From 2007 to 2011 he coached North High School's Girls Softball Team. He also played in the Silver Softball League.
Jerrell was a hardworking man, a machinist at Akron Standard Mold and Teledyne. He also acquired a license in Massotherapy.
Tiger is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Catherine L. Morgan and his son Russell D. Morgan. As well as his brothers Ron and Tom and sister Phyllis.
He is survived by his sister Marla and his five children, Cyndi, John, Wendy, Patti, and Mindy as well as eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Tiger will be interred at Rose Hill Burial Park, 3653 W. Market St. Akron, Ohio 44333.
A celebration of Life will be held this summer for Tiger and will be posted on various Social Media pages.
