Julia Hagen

She was born in Akron, Ohio, March 29, 1931. Julia graduated from Norton High School. She is preceded in death by her husbands Fred Yarger and Marty Hagen and her son Fred Yarger.

Julia was an office manager for many local physicians before moving to Florida in 1995 where she was a real estate agent for several years before moving back to Akron in 2002. Julia was an avid card player, keeping many games going at Rockynol where she enjoyed her last several years. Julia was active in her Norton Alumni Association, and enjoyed volunteering at the Akron Civic Theater. She loved being active and stayed young by dancing and motorcycle riding.

She is survived by son Raymond A. Yarger (Tracey), Grandson Ryan A. Yarger, 2 Granddaughter Raejean A. Johnson (Cory) and Caralynn Knopf, 2 great grandsons, Trenton and Tayden, great granddaughter Tori, and dear friend Ruth A. Knopf.

The family will receive friends and relatives to celebrate her life Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 11am to 12noon at the Catavolos Funeral Home 3653 W. Market St. Fairlawn.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the charity of choice.
