Karl enjoyed the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Portage Summit Hunting and Fishing Club. Karl also enjoyed mowing the grass and tending to his lawn. Karl had a wonderful singing voice and sang in the St. Paul's Episcopal Church Youth Choir and was the congressional leader at the Tallmadge Alliance Fellowship for many years.
Besides his parents, Karl is preceded in death by his daughter Danielle Royer.
Karl is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, the former Linda Boarman, his son, Nathan Loman and his partner Giovanna Iacobacci; his son-in-law David Royer; his granddaughter, Hanna Royer Class and her husband Michael, and his grandson Andrew Royer.
A calling hours for Karl will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rose Hill Funeral Home & Burial Park, 3653 W Market St, Akron, Ohio 44333, followed by the funeral service at 7:00 PM. Interment will be Thursday at Noon at the graveside.
