Mario was born on April 10, 1955 in the Bronx of New York to Joseph and Carmela Weiss.
Mario is survived by his loving wife Michele Weiss; his sons Christopher Weiss (Danielle), Ryan Weiss (Ashley), and Daniel Weiss (Regan); his grandson Holden Weiss; his brother David Weiss (Roseann); and his niece Melissa Weiss.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joseph & Carmela Weiss.
Mario was the kindest and most generous human. If you had the privilege to know him, you know he would do anything and everything for the people he loved. He gave and expected nothing in return. He helped others who were less fortunate just because he knew it was the right thing to do.
He loved unconditionally. He was extremely hard working, determined, and passionate about life.
Mario had a strong desire to provide for his family. He did not have much growing up, and he worked very hard to be successful, and be able to give his family the things he didn’t have.
We were fortunate as a family to have him as our centerpiece. He was our heart. And always brought us all together.
We were fortunate to all gather as a family with him in his last moments and say goodbye. Family was everything to our Mario. We know he felt our presence in the room with him and felt how much he was loved.
Visitation will be at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 3653 W Market St., Akron, Ohio 44333 on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
The funeral service will take place at St. Hilary Catholic Church, 2750 W Market St, Fairlawn, OH 44333, on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM followed by the committal at Sharon Township Cemetery.
Final resting place will be at Sharon Township Cemetery, 6801 Ridge Rd., Wadsworth.
