I am deeply saddened to learn about Mark’s death. He was very sick when I saw him last time, in October, and because he had so many other providers taking care of him, i kept hoping that, since I did not hear from his family, he may be getting better.
I was Mark’s primary care physician for a few years. He followed me to my present practice and, sadly, passed away soon after.
Mark was a strong willed, optimistic, very brave, very kind gentleman. I will always remember him as one of my favorite patients. My deep condolences to the family.

I have been Blessed to have Mark as my patient at the Richfield Chiropractic Center.  He, as mentioned justly so many times, is a caring, gentle soul who cares deeply about his family and friends. Mark became more than a patient, a friend who we both had a lot in common. Both now 64 years old and went to schools not far apart, Copley and Firestone. We talked about our families, our hobbies and how much we loved what we were given to do.  May our good Lord guide you all as Mark's sweet memories sustain you.   Dr. Gary, Becky & staff at RCC

 The grief comes in waves.  Mark and I were friends for 53 years.  We could go for years without talking and when we would finally talk it was as if it had only been days.  When my wife Debbie and I were married in 1989 Mark was my Best Man.  When we finally bought our first property four years ago Mark was there to help every time I traveled to Arizona to work on it.  Every time.  Mark loved Arizona.  He was a man of true grit. Honest and Kind.  He loved his family but he had no trouble living alone on his property in the mountains north of Pheonix.  I said to him last year ...."Don't you ever get lonely out there?"   Mark.."No, I have all my animals, they keep me company!"  Wild Burros would hang out with Mark around his trailer!  Hahaha  Cows, Coyotes, rabbits and the occasional Scorpion or Rattlesnake didn't bother him.  He looked at them as his cohorts, surviving in the desert.  Always building something, Mark told me of his "Platform" that kept him off the desert floor that he built next to his trailer.   He called himself the "King of Cheap" !   He could scrounge materials for building a house and then build a home with virtually no money!  He told me one of his secrets last year..."I'll put an ad in Craigslist and say "I need roofing materials but don't have any money"  He said.. "I realized that nobody was answering my ads so I decided to say  "God Bless" at the end of the ad.  All of a sudden I got 12 people sending me free roofing materials!"  Hahaha  Mark, I cannot say how saddened I am that you are gone but you will never, ever be forgotten.  My friend, My Hero.  You lightened my burden every time you came.  I'm going to miss you so much.  I loved you as my brother.  .......  "To live in the hearts of those we loved is not to die"  I'll miss our "fireside chats".  I gave  Mark an Axe that I had made last year.  The next day I asked him if I could borrow it for a second...He looked at me (over the top of his glasses)  Uh, huh, Nice try.  Hahaha.  

Der Mark.. I got to know you once in Europe.. your confidence,  friendliness and always smile... I was able to follow your inspiration on Facebook... My Dad said yesterday,  such a nice, friendly and person whom he met with you.. we think of you and your family.. we embrace you in our thoughts.. The world will miss you... We knew Mark from the Metro Parks. He was a great carpenter and a great man. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Dunaye family. He will be truly missed.
