Michael earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Akron, a reflection of his thoughtful nature and interest in understanding people. He was also proud of his work as an over-the-road truck driver, a job he took seriously and did with dedication. He often brought his wife and children along on the road, turning long hauls into family adventures and creating memories that would last a lifetime.
He will be lovingly remembered for his passion for motorcycles—whether he was riding them or working in the garage, they brought him great joy. Over the years, he and his wife shared countless miles on the road together—sometimes riding side by side, sometimes holding on close—but always together. Riding was more than a hobby for them; it was part of their journey and connection.
Michael also enjoyed playing baseball and watching MMA fights, always ready to cheer on his favorite fighters.
Above all, Michael was a husband, father, papa, and brother—a devoted family man who found his greatest happiness in spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his beloved dogs, who were family to him.
Michael shared a special bond with his wife, Yolande Wisberger. They were together for 42 years, having met on St. Patrick’s Day—a day they cherished so much that they chose it again for their wedding day. Their love was steady, strong, and enduring.
He is survived by Yolande and his children: his son Keith Wisberger (Kay) and their children Ashley Wadsworth (Jack), Taylor, Benjamin, Bella, and Brooke; and great-grandchildren Aurora and Alaina, his son Cory Wisberger, his son Jesse Wisberger (Melissa) and their children Riley and Ethan, his daughter Rose Cheung (Alex) and their children Kyra, Esther, and Adeline, his step-daughter Hope Wilson (Ola Gilpin) and their many children and grandchildren, and his step-son James Wilson (Marybeth) and their children Whitney, Courtney, and Dominic; and grandson Brayden
Michael is further survived by his mother-in-law Roberta Dunk; his brother Mark Wisberger (Maryann); his cousin Henry Hopp; and many cherished brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Maxine Wisberger, and his beloved grandson, Jordan Phelps.
Michael’s presence, humor, and steady love will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the lives of his family, the stories they share, and the love that continues through them.
